Why major U.S. brands are chasing Latinos with digital solutions

In 2025, marketing executives from Wells Fargo, Team Mobile, Ford, Disney and other major brands met at the Velocity Conference in Los Angeles and heard an impressive figure in a commissioned report released at the event. The Latino GDP in the U.S. reached 4 trillion dollars in 2023, making it the 5th largest independent economy in the world. But do U.S. Companies understand the cultural behavior of this group and what are they doing to increase market share?
The major U.S. companies absolutely do and have honed-in on one piece of data that signals a core behavior of Latinos: the median age of Latinos is 31 years old, with the biggest population between 16 and 20 years old. This translates to Latinos being the fastest adapters of new technology and digital solutions, as they replace the spending gap left behind by the Baby Boomer Generation.
Marketing executives from Wells Fargo, Team Mobile and others recognized this trend years ago and described new technologies and digital solutions targeting specifically the Latino audience which begs the question, what are cultural behaviors being redefined in the AI age. Marketers take note!
